The great West Justland nature invites to long walks along the sea, fjord, woods, and moorland
Experience our hilly ice age landscape, our unique heather areas or the peace and quiet in one of our forests. The nature of West Jutland is fantastic all year round, and there's no limit for what you can experience out there. The nature is easy to get around in, and most of it is open to everyone. The brochures of the Danish Forest and Nature Agency are full of descriptions of the nature in the state owned areas. All brochures are free and available in the tourist offices, in the small boxes at the entrance of the state owned areas or on the internet. A super way to experience nature is in the company of a guide who explains vividly and excitingly about matters and sites on the tour. Ask the tourist offices which tours are in your area or check the website of the Danish Forest and Nature Agency.

Hunt for amber by the North SeaA good storm is needed to make the amber rip off the seabed and after then quiet weather where the amber can wash-up on the beach along with seaweeds, stones and wreckages. Keep an eye on the tide. The best time is when the water is leaving the beach. The lumps of amber won’t just be lying sparkling on the beach. They hide inside the washed-up seaweeds and you have to take a very close look.
