Both in the forest, by the beach, by the lakes and especially at Harboøre Tange and by Nissum Fiord. So put on your hiking boots and go out to find them.
Nissum FjordNissum Fiord is one of the most beautiful fiord areas in Northwest Jutland. Flocks of redshanks, lapwings, oystercatchers and many more breed on the salt meadow by Thorsminde. During the spring you can see large flocks of golden plovers, reeves, Icelandic sandpipers travelling through, and large flocks of geese gathering their strength before continuing on towards their breeding grounds. The isthmus is dominated by several lakes of brackish water, and it is framed by the North Sea to the north and Nissum Bredning (the Limfjord) to the east. It is an important area for a large number of sea birds and migratory birds. During the spring you can se birds like geese, the Northern pintail and widgeons.
